Michael Bell (G.I. Joe: ARAH Duke voice actor) announced on that he did some voice over work on the new G.I. Joe animated series, G.I. Joe: Renegades coming to Hasbro’s HUB network channel this Fall. Bell also revealed that Duke’s mother will be played by actress, B. J. Ward, whom most will recognize her as the original voice of Scarlett! So two original G.I. Joe cartoon voice actors return in the latest animation series as Duke’s parents. This is quite exciting and almost fitting as a “passing of the mantle” kind of thing.
“Just did a guest spot on the new Gi Joe animated series. Played Duke’s dad. Duke being the ever talented Jason Marsden who incidentally, I directed in the Fox animated ” Peter Pan” series way back when he was a mere teen. B J Ward played Duke’s mom. What a kick to be back in the saddle again with old friends.”
