TS118′s “Operation Burnt Lair” Diorama Project: Set 1, Day 1

Filed in Community Showcase.

community-showcaseOnce again the guys atToySoldier 1:18 (TS118) have out down themselves, and put together an awesome looking modular diorama display! Displayed last week, June 18th to 19th, 2011 at the SM Megamall in the Philippines; and like their past dios, this one is just amazing. And like previous ones, it will be modular. Meaning the set up changes every few hours with a different setup. Here’s what they had to say on the project:

Some quick notes..
- Displayed last weekend June 18 to 19,2011 at the SM Megamall (Philippines) in celebration of The 10th Philippine Toys & Hobbies Convention (Philippne’s TOYCON), organized by Collectibles Unlimited.
- Brought to you by the same team that came up with O: Shock and Awe, O: Killzone, O: Forced Entry, O: Gothic Serpent, O: Sidewinder Verde, O: Grayia Seize-r, O: Ivory Blanket & O: Citadel Deliverance…the Philippines only local 3 3/4 (1:18) Joe online community..TS118 (http://ts118.forumer.com / http://www.ts118.blogspot.com )
- This diorama changes display every three to four hours. It is the first of its kind in the Philippines for action figures (regardless of scale). We dubbed it as a “dynamic modular diorama” or DMD.
- Took 4 weekends of preparation and actual dio-work to complete (figures/structures/vehicles). Mostly done on Saturdays only.
- Collaboration done by at least 20members (builders, pledgers/financiers, consultants, etc.).
- Featured GI Joe customs in 25A body constructions (PMCs and Insertion Team), FOV action figures, BBI action figures, OurWar action figures plus hidden mickeys (Zartan in disguise, OBL in 1:18 scale. etc).
