There will be many recounting and saying their prayers on this 10-year anniversary, of one of the most tragic events in U.S. history. Today marks the 10th anniversary of when terrorists attacked unarmed American citizens on American soil. I’m sure many can still recount as to where exactly they were that day too.
On this day 10 years ago is when over 3000 people lost their lives, and real people became heroes. Heroes from all types of “first responders”; police, fire department, medics, average citizens and many others. No matter what you believe truly happened on the 11th day of September in 2001, one thing we can all agree on, it was a truly tragic loss of life. It changed us all, some for the better, and some for the worse. And it will forever be etched into our minds.
So let’s take a moment and have a moment of silence for all those lives we lost on September 11th, 2001. We can also not forget all of the soldiers that have given their lives, that have served, or continue to fight in the pursuit of justice for all of those responsible for the massive loss of lives on 9/11.
“We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.” — George Orwell
