“Undercover” PMC Grunt 12-Inch Custom by Hawk MMS

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

customs-iconTerror Drome member Hawk MMS has been sharing his “real world series” 12″ Joes with us for a while now. Each one has been very impressive from the use of parts to the creative thinking for the background story of each one. His latest 12-inch creation is an “undercover” PMC (Private Military Contractor) Grunt.

“Grunt has currently been detached from the Joe team on a covert mission. He has joined (infiltrated) a new player on the block. A PMC (Private Military Contractor) named VENOM PMC LLC. They have been issued large contracts in Iraq and the Saudi’s have hired them to assist on the Yemeni boarder. Intel suggests they aren’t what they appear to be.”

Check out this great looking “real world” custom of Grunt and let Hawk MMS know what you think of it!

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

customs-iconTerror Drome and Joe Community member starwarsgeek has done a fantastic job with basically a “mess of parts” he was given for a contest on another forum.

“I used the Duke head, Matt Trakker torso, Arctic Snake Eyes legs, Snake Eyes upper arms and elbows and then the gloves from that other figure (who I didn’t recognize but thought they were cool).”

Needless to say, the end result is might impressive. So check out this great looking custom that looks like it stepped off the Hasbro “drawing board”.

Old Snake Custom Figure by skyhawkpilot1978

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

G.I. Joe and Transformers. The two brands are a part of each other. Member skyhawkpilot1978 gives us a good use for the bazillions of Cobra Commander figures that Hasbro bestowed upon us during the “25th Anniversary” toy line, with his interpretation of Cobra Commander as he appeared in an episode of the Transformers as the character “Old Snake”!

Slice and DEF Mutt and Junkyard Customs by Heretic!

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Ninja Force. It had its high points, and it had some very low points. But anyway you slice it, some characters were cool and Member Heretic here shows us why with his Slice!. Now hes gotta get goin on Dice!

The Year was 1992. GIJOE was having an identity crisis. Old characters with cool new redesigns. And Old charracters with some horrible brightly colored redesigns. Member Heretic points out that not every design in the ’90s was bad or even neon with D.E.F. Mutt and Junkyard! . Its always great to see new customs from years often ignored by most fans!
