Airtight by Airtight, Final Custom of the Week Honoree for August!

Posted by CAPT. GRID-IRON on Sunday, August 29th, 2010

cow-feature-iconWrapping up our Custom of the Week Honoree’s for August, is this fantastic “Cartoon accurate” style Airtight by member Airtight. Here is what Airtight had to say about the project,

“Unlike many other customizers, I am not a fan of strictly adhering to every single pointless detail of the original figure’s design, and I instead enjoy the challenge of using newer parts and unique designs coupled with familiar color schemes to achieve a solid look with a new and much more modern-looking “skin”. Hope you guys enjoy him and I’d love to hear your feedback.”

Airtight by Hawk MMS, Our second Custom of the Week Honoree!

Posted by CAPT. GRID-IRON on Thursday, August 26th, 2010

cow-feature-iconThis weeks second Custom of the Week honoree is Airtight, by Hawk MMS. This is some of the best custom work in the 12-inch scale we have seen in a long time. And not only that Hawk MMS has been gracious enough to write a little story to go along with the figure. Here is an excerpt!

“Bringing in Airtight has improved over all Joe training in the NBC realm. Joe’s are taking their atropine kits a little more serious these days. Serious enough that is, except when Airtight is replacing the tear gas in the gas chamber with laughing gas or bombing a Joe bivouc site with an unscheduled gas mask drill @ 0230. He is not the most orthodox NBC trooper out there but, he is the gutsiest. Right now that is what I need.”

Female Tele-Viper By Bad Sociologist, Custom of The Week Honoree!

Posted by CAPT. GRID-IRON on Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

cow-feature-iconThis weeks first Custom of The Week honoree, is a Female Tele-Viper by Bad Sociologist. This figure is painted with flawless precision, and looks like it came straight from the factory. I know many of us would give our left leg to have Hasbro release a figure like this. Here is what Bad Sociologist had to say about it:

“I built a new female TV using the head and torso from Trigate and I decided to have some fun with the extra parts…”
