Airborne Rigger, member of the Joe Community, notified me today via Twitter that he has found the Rise of Cobra TRU Exclusive Arctic Threat Shipwreck (UPC #: 653569469735) and Arctic Threat Doc (UPC #: 653569469728) figures at retail. He found them in Anderson, South Carolina, so if you are looking to add these to your collection, now is the time to start keeping an eye out for them.

HissTank member Rulz posted some images of the forthcoming Toys R Us Exclusives of The Pursuit of Cobra: Arctic Threat Doc and Arctic Threat Shipwreck figures. A Filipino Joe Collector, Rulz has acquired these figures in the Philippines (along with a Mail-Away PoC Cobra Commander), which is a sign that these items are still coming and a good chance very soon!

TaoBao seller ilovesw has posted a few auctions featuring the upcoming Toys “R” Us Exclusive Arctic Threat Doc and Shipwreck figures. These new auctions give us our first look at the figures in the package, and interestingly enough show us the “Rise of Cobra” name despite them being released as part of the 2010 “Pursuit of Cobra” line. These figures are part of the 3rd wave of Toys “R” Us exclusives, and are expected to hit the pegs sometime in 2010.

Cobra Island member Optimus Scourge has found the Target Exclusive “Past and Present” Rockslide ATAV with Snow Job at a local Target store in Massachusetts. This set focuses on a “Past” incarnation of the Rockslide ATAV (aka the ‘83 Polar Battle Bear) and the “Present” RoC version of the Rockslide. Each comes with a version of Snow Job, a vintage ARAH re-release and a repainted “25th”/RoC Snow Job. It retails for $24.99. So keep an eye out at your local Target stores for this latest addition to the G.I. Joe line.

HissTank member Rulz has posted some images of the TRU Exclusive Pursuit of Cobra “Jungle Assault” Sting Raider. He picked one off of eBay and just received it. He graciously posted quite a few images of the packaging and the Sting Raider opened. If you notice, it is also the first packaging we’ve seen with the “Pursuit of Cobra” on it. So as you can see, The Pursuit of Cobra appears to be “alive & well” and coming in 2010!
