Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2 Official Press Images

Thanks to Hasbro’s PR company, Hunter PR, we have for you some “official” images of the upcoming Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2 single-carded figures and vehicles. Wave 2 figures include: “Arctic Threat” Destro, “Jungle Assault” Jungle-Viper, “Jungle Assault” Recondo, “Jungle Assault” Snake Eyes “Desert Battle” Dusty and “Desert Battle” Zartan. The vehicles in Wave 2 are; Alpha Class: Desert AWE Striker and Cobra Ice Cutter along with Bravo Class: Cobra Fury and the all-new G.I. Joe VAMP! These figures and vehicles are tentatively schedule for release in late September/early October.

New Images of the “Pursuit of Cobra” H.I.S.S. Tank v5!

Thanks to WinterGod (冬日神语) of ACToys we now have some great new images of the H.I.S.S. Tank v5 that will be a part of the upcoming Wave 1 Bravo vehicles from the Pursuit of Cobra line, that will be available in stores later this Summer in August!

Hasbro Officially Cancels Rise of Cobra Wave 3 Alpha Class Vehicles? Updated

Well hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got an email from BigBadToyStore, they are saying Hasbro has officially cancelled the Rise of Cobra Wave 3 Alpha Class vehicles. Wave 3 consisted of the Lava Pod w/Volcano-Viper, Tiger Claw ATV w/Leatherneck, Polar Sharc w/Icestorm and Desert Rockslide ATAV w/Dusty.

Hi – Hasbro has just informed us that this item has been cancelled, and as a result they will not be able to fill our orders. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have cancelled all preorders and removed the item from our site.

So whatever boxed production samples made their way out of the factory in China onto eBay or hit retail in the Philippines is it, at least for now. Hasbro may or may not still try to get some of these into the Pursuit of Cobra line considering some of the tooling they spent money on. Only time will tell.

UPDATE 3/19: According to Hasbro in the latest Q&A (CoilClub.com), some quantities of Wave 3 are shipping right now. In my opinion, I think these may arrive in North America, but in a very small quantity. With Hasbro telling online retailers like BBTS their orders are cancelled, this only says that their shipment is not big enough to cover “brick & mortar” retail and online retail. So if you do manage to find these, I would suggest not hesitating on picking it up. You may never see it again.

“In-Hand” Images of the 2010 Pursuit of Cobra Vehicle, the Cobra Fury!

ACToys member jt008581 has posted some nice “in-hand’ images of the forthcoming Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2 Bravo vehicle, the Cobra Fury (aka Cobra Rage). This vehicle has been slightly retooled for its 2010 re-release and will come with an Alley-Viper Officer driver. You can check out the images which I have mirrored below.

Pictorial Reviews of TRU Exclusive “Arctic Threat” Doc & Shipwreck and TRU Sting Raider

Recently added to the Scoop’s Dark Room Files are the latest in Toys R Us Rise of Cobra Exclusives. We’ve added the latest single carded wave with “Arctic Threat” Carl “Doc” Greer and “Arctic Threat” Shipwreck. These are Wave 3 (or Wave 1 2010) of the TRU single carded figures. Also added is the TRU Exclusive Sting Raider (aka Water Moccasin) with Copperhead & Swamp-Viper. So head on over to Scoop’s Dark Room and check out these latest additions.

Also, we have images of a pre-production version of the 2010 Pursuit of Cobra Elite Ice-Viper.

More New Vehicles for 2010 — Retooled Ghost Hawk? Dreadnok Cycle? Wave 2 Rip-Attack Vehicles?

Gyre-Viper of HissTank and eBay seller toyssir8982009 have once again come through with some new info on upcoming 2010 G.I. Joe vehicles. They have provided images of a retooled Ghost Hawk and Lift Ticket repaint, what almost looks like a “Dreadnock Cycle” with driver and what appears to be Wave 2 of Rip-Attack vehicles. The Rip-Attack vehicles show, an air vehicle of some kind with what looks like Snake Eyes with Matt Trakker’s helmet and a snow mobile with a figure that was believed to be just a horrible kitbash using the Firefly body with Elite-Viper head (E_only eBay auction). No other information is available at this time about these, but if these do end up released, 2010 is really starting to look interesting in the “vehicle department”.
