Sideshow Collectibles Cobra Officers Pre-Order Available

Sideshow Collectilbles has put up their pre-order for the next in the line of G.I. Joe 12 inch figures from them. The Cobra Officer now joins the ranks of amazingly detailed 12″ figures. The Cobra Officer will retail for $99 and will be available in the 4th quarter of 2009.

Shout!Factory Press Release for G.I. Joe Season 1.1 DVD Release

Shout! Factory has put out an official press release regarding the release of the new G.I. Joe Season 1.1 that will hit the shelves July 21st. The 4 DVD set will have a $29.99 MSRP, and will include a full compliment of bonus features such as PSA’s, original toy commercials, interviews, and more. Also, for a limited time, the set will feature various rub on tattoos.

EA’s “Rise of Cobra” Video Game Box Art Revealed

Electronics Arts has done a full reveal of the box art for their G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra game, giving us great “Hi Res” images of the art for every platform released. The Nintendo DS received its own exclusive art, as it is the only platform that changes the format of the game. Pre-orders are up for this game on Amazon.com, with prices ranging from $29.99 to $59.99 depending on the system. The game is set to hit the shelves July 27, 2009

- Choose from 12 of your favorite G.I. JOE characters, each with unique weapons and abilities.

2009 SDCC SideShow Collectibles Exclusives UPDATE

Sideshow Collectibles has revealed the 2009 SDCC Exclusive figures, and has given us the pre-order dates. The G.I. Joe exclusive will be a Crimson Cobra Commander, the background behind this figure is unknown as of yet, and all we have is tiny image of the head. Though it appears to be just a repaint of the previously released Cobra Commander figure, Sideshow probably wont let us down with new assortment of accessories, exclusive packaging, and maybe a few other surprises. . The Priority Pre-Order dates are Attendee Edition 10AM PT on May 28th and Non-Attendee Edition 10AM PT on May 29th.

G.I. Joe Season 1.1 Gets Box Art and a Possible Complete Series Release.

TVShowsonDVD posted a new image of what could possibly be the new cover art for the upcoming DVD release of the original G.I. Joe animated series. This is an unfinished image of the box art, but still gives us a great look at what we can expect. These sets are set to be release July 21st with season 1 part 1 of the Sunbow Series, and are up for pre-order on Amazon.com for $29.99.

HomeMediaMagazine interviewed Garson Foos, president of Shout! Factory, and he revealed a possible Complete Series release by this summer.

Foos said Shout! Factory would follow the release with special complete-series sets of “The Transformers” and “G.I. Joe” later this summer.

Sideshow Collectibles has posted their first “figure environment” for their 12 inch line of G.I. Joe figures. Recon at Waypoint 12 with Timber is a mini dio like setup for displaying your Sideshow 12″ G.I. Joe figures. Retailing for $129.99, this “figure environment” will be availalbe in the fourth quarter of 2009.
