Target Wave 3 Deluxe Figures (with Vehicles) Boxed Image

Thanks to GeneralsJoes for the heads up that dawg99 of HissTank has posted an image that shows all of the forthcoming Pursuit of Cobra Target(?) Wave 1 Deluxe Figures (with vehicles). The image shows the boxed versions of (L to R, Top to Bottom) Air Assault Glider with Capt. Ace (Arctic Assault), RAM Cycle with Sandstorm (Desert Battle), Jungle Terror Twin Battle Gun with Range-Viper (Jungle Assault) and COBRA Flight Pod with Elite-Viper (City Strike).

I didn't realize that these are in actual boxes, as opposed to the carded ROC exclusives... It does lend credence to the thought that the price will go up. Since they're obviously still meant to be hung on pegs and several of the vehicles are extremely tiny, I don't see them going over $12-13. Still a bit much, IMO. Maybe we'll get lucky and Target still has them at $10, since most of the exclusives (esp. at Target and TRU) have been pretty reasonable so far.

The twin battle gun is a must buy for me. If the range-viper has his accessories I'll probably get a few. The Elite-viper and Sanstorm or okay in my eyes so I'll get both of them. The Ace looks like he might be a pass unless I find him real cheap.

Also of note is that they're still branded as Rise of Cobra products and don't have the "Only at Target" insignia so I'm wondering if they're actually going to be mass-release sets.

Boxart for the win! makes the toys tempting! But i really only want the range viper and the whirlwind. Dont need another elite viper with trouble bubble, or another slipstream. Who is Sandstorm? Wasnt that dusty's coyote?

He's a new guy. The name was previously used for a coyote, which does seem a little odd... but then again, this is the same group with a guy named "Mutt" in it, and guys who share names with vehicles (Armadillo, Avalanche, Chameleon, Falcon, Ferret, Moray, Night Adder, and Skystriker all stand out in a quick browse of YoJoe's archive, and I'm sure I missed a few), and guys who share names with each other (Airborne, Dusty).

It became a lot less weird to me when I took all that into account. Plus I just like the name and don't think it should be exclusive to one of the "animal companions"... I'd like a Joe named Freedom for the same reason.
