top 10 crappiest GI joes

Ive seen that list before. I generally like most all the Joe and Cobra characters. I can see the purpose of Sneekpeak, but the execution isnt that great. In his pic he does kind of look like a chubby woman and the figure design could be better. This has been discussed before. I also agree with Maverick and any BF2000 character and Dee Jay can be thrown on that list as well.

that list is total crap, there are several awesome characters on that list, lets get serious.........

i could name ten ROC figures that are far worse than anything on that list

oh and tele viper, bludd and golobulus would make it to my top ten to fifteen favorite figures! with Quick kick being one of my favorite joe figures period, probably close to top five and definitely a top ten favorite

how about a list that includes TWO THIRDS of all the figures from the joe vs cobra through VvV years and these

Its strange, anytime I see people rant against 87 figs like Raptor or Sneak Peek, or sub-groups like Cobra La or Battle Force2000 or whatever, I just roll my eyes.

The line was at its peak back then!

Things got crappy when GIJoe got bogged down with the DIC toon, Mega Marines, Ninja Force, Eco Warriors, weapon trees, and the like. That's when the line was on its decline.

I agree with Chuckles and Swindle, there are some awesome figs there...Sci-Fi at 4....come on!! ...really??

I do agree that the line was becoming far less engaging by the time 88 rolled around, I cannot say I agree with the entirety of the author's assessment. I disagree with Bludd being on there, for instance, if for no other reason than he really had potential, despite not being used to it's fullest much of the time.

Some of the characters listed I liked alot, too... but so what. Just because Sci-fi was a favorite of mine (and he was) doesn't mean he was a goofy outfit for a member of the military and redundant with having the same specialty as Flash. I do not think the lists writer stated sufficient reasoning for these placements and based most of these on the chance to be funny.

I would like to Point out that he does state, prior to the list proper, the following "my list will be limited to characters released between 1982-1987". That excludes nearly all of the time frames you guys are evoking here. So, with the guidelines being 82-87 does the list fall a little more in line?

So, the challenge is this: with sufficient reasoning (not because of personal preferences) and limited to within the time frame of 82-87 make your own list of the crappiest characters. As exampled above, just because a character is a favorite doesn't necessarily exclude them.

Now I simply must ask, who wants to make their version of this list under these specific parameters?

There's a difference between being popular on your own merits and merely being historical footnotes. Snake Eyes and Scarlett are popular. General Hawk gets exposure for being the boss. I suppose Stalker is a B-lister, but the rest are just famous for being famous.

I also hate the argument that, well, GIJoe already has a fill in the blank... Laser specialist, bazooka trooper, whatever. I like GIJoe expansion.
