First let me preface this review by saying, that this play set is
only available at
Toys R Us, and i want to give them props. Because according to a
Hasbro rep I talked too last week in the store, the retailers are setting the price points for the
ROC toys. And this set just proves the retailers are just trying to bilk people, and that the toys could be sold for a reasonable price if they really wanted too. This set is a perfect example. The "
Attack on the G.I. Joe PIT Headquarters" playset includes a
Neo-Viper, a
Neo-Viper Officer,
Duke,
Ripcord, a
PIT commando, and a
Mole Pod vehicle,
all for only $24.99. Now before i break down the coolness of this set, you ask yourself, how am I paying $24.99 for five figures and a vehicle which retails with one figure for $15.99. And that is a great question. One I wish I could answer too.
Now on with the review. First the box art is fantastic, and if you like saving box liners for dios, this one has a fantastic liner to use for dio's and dio pics.

Second the
Mole Pod. This vehicle in my opinion is better than the one they are charging $15.99 for; simply because the color scheme is better, and since it has a black missile rather than bright red on the front end. One really cool feature about the Mole Pod is that the wheels and the drill are synced up so when you push it along as the wheels roll the drill bit turns. Also I bought one of these sets for each of my kids, and the hatch is very playable, meaning it pops off and on really easy without breaking, which is key if your buying it for small children. Also it comes with an ample sticker sheet of cool cobra stickers to apply.

Third the other real highlight of this set for me was the
Neo-Viper Officers. As far as i know this figure is only available in this set. He is different from the regular
Neo-Viper in that he does not have the big bulky chest armor, and he does have a cool pistol holster for his pistol found on the Elite-Viper. He also comes with what is my favorite weapon of the ROC line so far the machine gun that also comes with Elite-Viper. Like every figure in this set he also comes with a figure stand.

This set also just for funsies throws in another regular
Neo-Viper, with great gear, and great articulation. The thing i like most about this figure is that the guns attach to the backpack.

As if this is not enough already you get three (3) Joe figures,
Duke,
Ripcord, and
PIT Trooper. First Duke, he has a pistol and machine gun, as well as a stand. The only drawback to this Duke, is that he his arms that tend to limit elbow articulation, but otherwise a good figure.

Second we have
Ripcord. Now since so far all i have seen is Accelerator Suit Ripcord, this figure was a must for me. I love the vest, i love the overall look of the figure, it has full range articulation of the other ROC figures, and a pistol and machine gun as well as a stand.

Last but not least is the
PIT Trooper. This is a nice "greenshirt" type trooper. A nice compliment to the regular Joe forces. He comes in green drab camo fatigues with a pistol and machine gun. He is most cool to me because he is the figure that the ROC Zartan is trying to imulate, so glad they went ahead and put this one in there.

Overall, "ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME ALL THIS FOR ONLY $25!!!!!! Just goes to show what coolness you can get when people aren't trying to ROOK other people out of money.
THIS SET GETS 5 OF 5 FLAG POINTS, I SUGGEST YOU RUN OUT AND JUMP ON IT BEFORE THEY ARE ALL GONE!
