We are getting that much closer to the release of G.I. Joe Retaliation, just a few weeks away now. This means the TV spots are multipling like crazy and Paramount just posted a few more G.I. Joe Retaliation TV spots to their YouTube channel. The latest ones, titled “Fist“, “Rock Solid” and “Drive It” are mostly a remixes of the previous footage we’ve seen with “Fist” having just a bit of new footage. There has been a TV spot already called “Drive It“, but this one is a couple of seconds longer. Check out the latest TV spots below. G.I. Joe Realiation arrives in theaters on March 28th, 2013.
In case you missed it over the weekend, two new checklists/guides have been added to the Terror Drome Collectors’ Resource Center. The two comprehensible checklists will give you all the information you will need for collecting G.I. Joe Kre-O construction sets and G.I. Joe Micro Force mini-figs. They will be updated as new information becomes available, but as of now, they are up-to-date with all information available. You can access these pages using the links below, or clicking the Resource Center banner in the middle column just under the site sponsors, or the “Resources” link above in the navigation. So please, take the time to check them out, and leave a comment with your feedback.
I missed this yesterday with the two TV spots I posted, but I caught it during a TV spot tonight while watching TV, the release date for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been bumped up a day. Retaliation is now opening on Thursday, March 28th, a day earlier from the 29th date we have been patiently waiting for. My guess is, this is because of it being Easter weekend, so the studio is trying to get an extra day out the opening weekend. Might not be much, but we are now one day closer to seeing G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
The Paramount International/UK YouTube Channel posted a new trailer for G.I. Joe Retaliation today. This yet another in the barrage of TV spots and trailers promoting the upcoming movie. And from what I can tell, there is a second of new footage in it (which makes me wonder why I’m even posting this). But if “collecting” these things is your “thing,” then here you go, another trailer to add to your collection. G.I. Joe Retaliation opens in theaters March 28th.
Paramount just posted a couple more G.I. Joe Retaliation TV spots to their YouTube channel for the G.I. Joe movie. The latest two, titled “Trust” and “Retaliate Again” are mostly a remix of the previous footage we’ve seen with just a bit of new footage. And honestly at this point, I’ve watched so many of these, it hard to tell just how much, but from what I can recall, there seems to be some new stuff in there. Check out the latest TV spots below. G.I. Joe Realiation arrives in theaters on March 28th, 2013.
Just in case you didn’t catch it online or in the Toys R Us Sunday sales ad insert, there is a Buy One Get One 50% Off sale this week on Kre-O. This includes both G.I. Joe and Transformers. The sale started yesterday and runs through March 2nd. If you have been fortunate enough to find the new Kre-O G.I. Joe at your local Toys R Us stores, then take your receipt in for a price adjustment. If you haven’t found any yet, keep checking. I say this because each time I’ve gone back they have put something new out, so they have just been very slow with their reset. They do have sets available online at www.toysrus.com for those that don’t have a TRU store nearby. Also, don’t forget to take the handy Kre-O G.I. Joe single blind pack code list with you to aid in your hunt. So good luck, hope you have success in finding some Kre-O G.I. Joe this week. And for those that don’t know, Kre-O G.I. Joe is a Toys R Us Exclusive. Thanks to @Magnum6Delta for the heads up on this sale.
It is looking that this year seems to be the year for some big anniversaries in the Joe Community. Yesterday, Blood For The Baron announced their 10th Anniversary, now today Kraig Furtado has announced the 5-Year Anniversary of the Troops of Doom dio comic. Five years that includes 523 comics, 118 extra photos and a whole mess of nonsense according to Kraig. If you have never read his comic, then you are doing yourself a disservice. You should check it out today. In honor of this big occasion, he is holding a contest to have upcoming Troops of Doom character additions named after you. If you are interested, then visit www.troopsofdoomcomic.com or click the image below.
Troops of Doom is 5 years old today, with 523 comics and 118 extra photos to date. Plus a whole lot of ridiculous nonsense.
The next five episodes will feature “Become a Troop of Doom” contests where readers can have a character named after them and have a recurring role in the comic. Lots of figures to choose from: ARAH, VVV, Collector’s Club, 25A, Resolute, POC, 30A, Renegades, Retaliation and Star Wars. Something for everyone.
I’m always interested to hear any comments, critiques or questions you have about the series.
