2010 JoeCon Exclusive 3 3/4″ Figures Box Set Art Revealed!

The GIJCC has updated with a preview image of the art work from their upcoming convention box set. Titled “Vacation in the Shadows”, the set will feature 15 figures from the U.K.’s Battle Action Force comic line including Black Major, Interrogator, Red Torch, Red Shadow Trooper, and Flint.

G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club Weekly Q&A

The guys over at bloodforthebaron.com have arranged a weekly Q & A session with the G.I. Joe Collectors Club in which Brian Savage himself will answer questions pertaining to past and present Action Force themed exclusives. Brian will answer 4 questions every 2 weeks, until 2 weeks prior to Joecon. With the JoeCon exclusive set being ActionForce themed, you can only imagine how exciting it must be for the BFTB crew. Huge thanks to them and the GIJCC for putting together this very informative event.

Hasbro Issues Press Release for G.I. Joe Brand in 2010

Hasbro has issued a press release for the G.I. Joe brand in 2010. The brand will become The Pursuit of Cobra theme this Fall as G.I. Joe chases Cobra around the world spanning; the jungle, the arctic, the desert and city. Look for a variety of product from single carded figures, to alpha and bravo class vehicles. We will also be getting G.I. Joe and Cobra mechs. Of note, is the suggested retail price of the figure, the are listed as $5.99. This is great news coming off the 4th quarter earnings report we reported on earlier in the week where Hasbro CEO, Brian Goldner admited to high prices being an issue. We hope to see some of this 2010 product to be debuted tomorrow at Toy Fair, so stay tuned for any information we can uncover. You can read the press release after the jump.

2010 Pursuit of Cobra Mail-Away Cobra Commander to Hit Retail First

The latest issue of Toy Fare, issue #152, has some information on the 2010 Pursuit of Cobra Mail-Away Cobra Commander figure. According to ToyFare magazine, the figure will be first available in a limited run at retail — available in the unique Cobra-themed packaging we saw at Joe Con last year. It is also mentioned that we will see a single carded Dusty and Alley-Viper; which was also mentioned in previous Hasbro Q&A’s. This issue is available now at comic stores and on news stands. There are two covers available, a Transformers RoTF Starscream cover, and a DCUC cover.

This Cobra Commander will be available as a mail-in figure, but he’ll also get a limited run at retailers in August on a special card. “We think the fans will be pleased with the first-ever Cobra-themed single card design,” Labovitz says.
