Sideshow Collectibles G.I. Joe Q&A Answers.

Sideshow Collectibles has posted the answerers to their latest Q&A for the highly popular 12″ G.I. Joe line. This time around we learn that Sideshow has plans to finally tap into the female characters of G.I. Joe with future releases of Scarlett, Baroness, and Lady Jaye. We also find out that a new Cobra Commander is in the works featuring the classic helmeted look, as well as some new diorama displays, and that there may be possible changes to the upcoming Firefly figure.

IDW Leaks Image of Mystery Character

Our friends at JoeReloaded.com have posted an image they received from IDW. Phil Kost says, “It’s a character from a series that’s starting this month.” Most likely this is from the G.I. Joe: Cobra II series which begins this month. There are plenty of clues right there in the picture, but IDW has thrown us for a loop before. So is this Cobra Commander? Or someone entirely different. Guess we will be finding out soon enough.

Early Images of 2010 G.I. Joe “Past & Present” 2-Packs

As 2009 comes to an end, and we officially wrap up the holiday season, it looks like one last gift has emerged just in the nick of time. Thanks to Justin over at GeneralsJoes, and Gyre-Viper of HissTank, we get an early look at some possible “Past and Present” 2-packs as well as possible 12″ Rise of Cobra figures. The 2 packs are a mixture of Joes from the mid 2000’s and current Rise of Cobra figures. The 12″ figures, confirmed by Hasbro to be cancelled in 2010, may just be early prototypes of figures that never made the cut. As of right now we have no “official” information regarding these figures. According to GeneralsJoes, the latest GIJCC news letter will be featuring the 2-packs, and will hopefully give us further information on their release. As for now, everything remains to be speculation.

New In-Hand Images of Pursuit of Cobra Arctic Threat Doc & Shipwreck

HissTank member Rulz posted some images of the forthcoming Toys R Us Exclusives of The Pursuit of Cobra: Arctic Threat Doc and Arctic Threat Shipwreck figures. A Filipino Joe Collector, Rulz has acquired these figures in the Philippines (along with a Mail-Away PoC Cobra Commander), which is a sign that these items are still coming and a good chance very soon!

New IN-HAND Images of PoC Mail-Away Cobra Commander Figure

Gyre-Viper of HissTank appears to have taken eBay seller handytoy up on his offer and purchased the Mail-Away Pursuit of Cobra Cobra Commander figure, and has posted quite a few images of the figure as well. The exact details of this figure have not been released as of yet, but we do know it will be available through a mail in offer comparable to the “Search for DOC” offer we had in the 25th line. In addition to the figure, a Hiss Scout is also included in the package, and will attach to the new Hiss Tank that was revealed to us at the 2009 JoeCon.

New PoC Cobra Commander “Mail In” Figure Images

Thanks to Zoltron of HissTank, we now have some new images of the upcoming “Mail In” Cobra Commander figure. The exact details of this figure have not been released as of yet, but it will be available through a mail in offer comparable to the “Search for DOC” offer we had in the 25th line. In addition to the figure, a Hiss Scout is also included in the package, and will attach to the new Hiss Tank that was revealed to us at the 2009 JoeCon.
