Custom 1986 Night Force Tomahawk by SniperX

Posted by CAPT. GRID-IRON on Sunday, June 13th, 2010

customs-icon Thanks to member SniperX for sharing his custom Night Force Tomahawk complete with an updated 25th Anniversary style Night Force Lift Ticket! We look forward to seeing more fantastic work from SniperX!

Here is what SniperX had to say:

“The figure was a simple repaint, aside from his vest I did some dremeling to smooth it down and then added some new accessories on it using plastic epoxy. Also I alternated faces on the pilot to give him a more intimidating look.. Lift-Ticket always seemed like a kinda wimp to me, so I wanted to make him have that bad ass persona.”

S.W.A.T. Sneak Peek, a new take on a classic character!

Posted by CAPT. GRID-IRON on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

customs-icon Terror Drome member Joshdahl has brought us this exciting new take on the classic Joe team member Sneak Peek. Here is what Josh had to say about his Sneak Peek custom,

“Sneak Peek used to have a standard Viper vest… for padding… but it did not look right at all. I also wanted to give him all kinds of hi-tech imaging gear, but I couldn’t figure out how to make any of that so it looked good.”

Well Josh, he looks great, and I think it is the first time I have ever seen a modern take on “Sneak Peek”; so KUDOS on a job well done.

Custom of the Week — Budo Custom by elgoodo!

Posted by WildWeasel on Monday, February 1st, 2010

Custom of the Week returns! (For good this time.) And we are starting off February with a killer custom by Terror Drome member elgoodo, he brings us Budo! Originally intending to create a more modern rendition of the G.I. Joe Samurai, elgoodo got caught up in the moment and ended up with a more classic look for Budo. Which, in the end, looks fantastic. Check out this latest custom from elgoodo and let him know what you think.

“…when I was making this guy, I just kept getting more excited as ideas kept flowing in..the armor kept piling on and next thing I knew it, I had a fully armed classic Budo as well!”
