Latest update for JoeCon, there will be a free figure for attendees (of two presentations) at JoeCon. The figure is a 3 3/4″ “Para-Drop” Flint figure. Since Hasbro is sponsoring a private parachute drop for kids to help promote JoeCon locally They knew that the convention attendees would not be able to attend, so Hasbro still wanted to make sure they could be a part of this event by giving you one of the limited edition Flint figures that will be used at the drop. Attendees that attend either of the two presentations given by Alan Hassenfeld will receive this Exclusive “Para-Drop” Flint figure.

Over at GeekWeek they have revealed the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive G.I. Joe figure, Sgt. Slaughter! The figure will come in two variations, one will be paying homage to the mail-away version of Sarge and the other paying homage to the version that came with the Triple T. So what do you think? Did Hasbro due Sarge justice? Aside from the hat not being removable, I have to say the “variant” version looks pretty good.

While the primary figure and the variant figure each come equipped with a whistle and non-removable hat, there are also special accessories exclusive to each version.

The PRIMARY FIGURE will include a belt, baton and microphone.

The VARIANT FIGURE is packaged with a machine gun and revolver.

Fans of Big Lob, this is your year! First the GIJCC is producing Big Lob for this year’s club exclusive 3 3/4″ figure. Now, Big Lob will be featured in one-page comic spotlights within the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club Magazine each month starting with the March issue. So for a character that wasn’t shown much “love” when first introduced, but somehow garnered a fan following, the GIJCC is making 2010 into Big Lob’s year.

The GIJCC has revealed the identity of one characters from their exclusive 2010 JoeCon collectors set to be the Cobra Interrogator. This set will reintroduce the classic “O-Ring” figure style, unlike the “25th” style figures we saw last year. Along with the return to the “o-ring”, this Interrogator figure will feature a removeable helmet for the first time! No other information was given about this year’s set with the exception of the one file card image.

“Our 2010 set features the return of the classic O-Ring style action figures. Our first exciting reveal is the mysterious COBRA INTERROGATOR. This unique and exclusive figure will have a brand new head sculpt that includes a removable helmet for the first time ever!”

TaoBao seller ilovesw has posted a few auctions featuring the upcoming Toys “R” Us Exclusive Arctic Threat Doc and Shipwreck figures. These new auctions give us our first look at the figures in the package, and interestingly enough show us the “Rise of Cobra” name despite them being released as part of the 2010 “Pursuit of Cobra” line. These figures are part of the 3rd wave of Toys “R” Us exclusives, and are expected to hit the pegs sometime in 2010.

eBay seller handytoy has listed a couple new auctions for the Toys “R” Us Exclusive Pursuit of Cobra “Arctic Threat” Doc and “Arctic Threat” Shipwreck figures. Scheduled for a 2010 release, these figures will presumably be part of the 3rd wave of TRU Exclusive single carded figures.
