This wave of Classic “25th” vehicles consists of the Stinger Jeep w/ Stinger Driver, FLAK Cannon w/ Outback & (Crimson) COBRA CLAW w/ Air-Viper Commando (aka Strato-Viper) and finally the Arctic HISS w/ Arctic HISS Driver. Thanks to 冬日神语 (WinterGod) of ACToys.net for posting some new images of the final production Wave 5 Vehicles soon to be released. This wave of Classic “25th” vehicles consists of the Stinger Jeep w/ Stinger Driver, FLAK Cannon w/ Outback & (Crimson) COBRA CLAW w/ Air-Viper Commando (aka Strato-Viper) and finally the Arctic HISS w/ Arctic HISS Driver. These vehicles should be available at online retailers (and possibly some local retail) very soon. So in the meantime, enjoy the pics!

G.I. Joe Wave 5 Vehicle are Available… Again!

Thanks to Terror Drome member Mr. Focus, we have verification of the Wave 5 Vehicles… again. This on again, off again wave of G.I. Joe vehicles which includes: Arctic HISS with Arctic HISS Driver, COBRA C.L.A.W. with Strato Viper & F.L.A.K. Cannon with Outback along with Stinger with Stinger Commander — is back alive thanks to Hasbro. BBTS has posted this about the wave:

Hasbro has just announced that wave 5 is alive! This series was canceled in 2008 and we have just received confirmation that it is now going to be released in 2009. This line is only available to retailers who purchase in large quantities from Asia – get your preorders in now!

This looks like this could end up being online only. So get your orders in to ensure you get these much sought after vehicles.

The Highly Anticipated G.I. Joe Wave 5 Vehicles Reappear?

Once thought to be cancelled, the Wave 5 (aka Wave 2, 2009) Vehicles (the Cobra Stinger with Stinger Commander, a red Cobra C.L.A.W. with Strato Viper and F.L.A.K. Cannon with Outback) make another appearance. This time on Target.com!

Will these highly desired vehicles and figures finally see retail? And where is the Arctic Hiss with Arctic HISS Driver?

G.I. Joe Wave 5 Vehicles Cancelled?!

Word first started to spread with online retailer Entertainment Earth notifying people that had pre-ordered G.I. Joe Wave 5 Vehicles (Cobra Stinger w/Stinger Commander, Cobra Arctic HISS w/Arctic HISS Driver and COBRA CLAW w/Strato-Viper & FLAK Cannon w/Outback), that their orders were cancelled. And that Hasbro was canceling production of these items. Unsure of why this had happened, everyone was just left wondering what the reasoning was. Well today BigBadToyStore, has given validation and verification that this wave is indeed cancelled.

Hi – Hasbro has just informed us that this item has been cancelled, and as a result they will not be able to fill our orders. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have cancelled all preorders and removed the item from our site.

Now word going around is that this wave is just merely delayed until later in the first quarter of 2009 allowing Hasbro to ramp up production to meet supply and demand. Hopefully some official word will come down from the Hasbro house to put the Joe community at ease over this situation.
