The 82nd Annual Academy Awards are tonight and no, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra will not be taking home any Oscars. On the other hand, the 30th Annual Golden Rasberry (Razzie) Award “Winners” were announced and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra did manage to snag one. For “Worst Supporting Actress of 2009″, they picked Sienna Miller. Now, I admit Rise of Cobra was not perfect and there was stuff I was not totally excited about, but Sienna Miller was not that bad in my opinion and far from the worst actor or actress in the movie. Considering the others nominated, Sienna Miller should not have received this “award”.

Thanks to an “Anonymous” poster on 4Chan we have an image of what might be the card art for Joes to come. As most of us know, The Pursuit of Cobra line has been pushed back by Hasbro with no confirmed release date. Both the vehicle and figure lines were delayed for unknown reasons, but with the recent surfacing of a few POCfigures and vehicles on eBay. And now this image on 4Chan, we are given a nice glimpse of hope that these guys might hit the shelves sooner than later, and with a refreshing new look. As for right now, this card art image is not “confirmed” by Hasbro, and should just be regarded as total speculation. It is pretty cool looking though isnt it? The boys over at moonbase2 have posted a nice podcast featuring an interview with Michale Bell, the voice of Duke from the original G.I. Joe cartoon series. In the interview, we learn that Bell is auditioning for the role of General Hawk in a new 26 episode G.I. Joe cartoon. No other information is known as of right now in regards to a release date, other cast or character info, or a story line. It can only be speculated that it will probably tie in with Rise of Cobra in some way, or possibly coincide with the release of the Pursuit of Cobra line. Until we here official word, anything is possible.
