Joe customizer is ready for a fresh look in the new decade and has an offer you cant refuse; You make him a logo, he makes you a figure. Its that simple! Of course, there is some fine print for the contest:

The logo must be made 100% By you.
You cannot copy any portion of someone else work.
The content must be 100% original.
For you to receive a free figure made by him, he must choose your logo.
No autographing or signing the logo, it is 100% for him.

Possible Rise of Cobra Academy Award Nomination?

ComingSoon.net has posted a list of the 15 semifinalists in the “visual effects” category, for the 82nd annual Academy Awards. Some of the films selected are Transformers 2, Star Trek, 2012, and G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra. Come January 2010, the list will be trimmed down to 7 nominees, with the official nominations being revealed January 21st. The 82nd annual Academy Awards will broadcast Sunday, March 7, 2010. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for the Joes!

New G.I. Joe Cartoon In The Works

misc-joe The boys over at moonbase2 have posted a nice podcast featuring an interview with Michale Bell, the voice of Duke from the original G.I. Joe cartoon series. In the interview, we learn that Bell is auditioning for the role of General Hawk in a new 26 episode G.I. Joe cartoon. No other information is known as of right now in regards to a release date, other cast or character info, or a story line. It can only be speculated that it will probably tie in with Rise of Cobra in some way, or possibly coincide with the release of the Pursuit of Cobra line. Until we here official word, anything is possible.

This figure is set to be released in the first wave of Pursuit of Cobra figures sometime in 2010, but is readily available on eBay at this time. Utilizing the entire body of the Resolute Storm Shadow originally slated for the 14th wave of the 25th Anniversary line, this figure is sure to be a hit with both customizers and collectors alike.

Toys “R” Us Exclusive Arctic Threat Doc & Shipwreck MOC Images

TaoBao seller ilovesw has posted a few auctions featuring the upcoming Toys “R” Us Exclusive Arctic Threat Doc and Shipwreck figures. These new auctions give us our first look at the figures in the package, and interestingly enough show us the “Rise of Cobra” name despite them being released as part of the 2010 “Pursuit of Cobra” line. These figures are part of the 3rd wave of Toys “R” Us exclusives, and are expected to hit the pegs sometime in 2010.
