Pictorial of Pursuit of Cobra “Arctic Threat” Destro

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

One of the few remaining 2010 Wave 1 figures, is now in Scoop’s Dark Room Files. The Pursuit of Cobra “Arctic Threat” Destro figure. One of the highly anticipated Pursuit of Cobra figures for the 2010 line-up, “Arctic Threat” Destro makes his debut. We first got a look at this figure at the 2009 Joe Con and now in-hand, we see that it has undergone a few changes since that initial look. So what do you think? Now since we heard from Hasbro in the latest Q&A answers, Hasbro is retooling some of the figures to remove any actor likeness. So does this mean that Destro could too get a new head? Fans agree the one that was on the figure at Joe Con was much better than this RoC version. Only time will tell if Hasbro is going to make any changes to the figure. So check out more pictures of this latest version of Destro in the forum and let us know what you think.

New 2010 Pursuit of Cobra Vehicles Revealed?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

The infamous toyssir898 has posted some interesting images of what could possibly be some upcoming vehicles for the Pursuit of Cobra line. Featured in the images are a Joe and Cobra version of a retooled Sigma 6 Iron Hammer, and 2 version of the classic A.W.E. Striker. The Iron Hammer corresponds with the reveal that Hasbro gave us at the 2009 JoeCon. Included with the vehicles is what looks to be Duke(?) and a new version of WildWeasel(?).

Also posted are some prototypes of the A.W.E. Striker that are pretty interesting. If you notice, printed on the hood is “InGen” which was the name of John Hammond’s corporation in Jurassic Park, not to mention the “JP” logo printed on the side. The included figures in the images are also a mystery. They appear to be kit bashed version of the Toys “R” Us exclusive Fire Fly figure. As of right now, none of these images are “official” or “confirmed” by Hasbro, in addition to there being no official information on possible release dates.

Possible New G.I. Joe Card Art Found On 4Chan?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

rumor-mysteryThanks to an “Anonymous” poster on 4Chan we have an image of what might be the card art for Joes to come. As most of us know, The Pursuit of Cobra line has been pushed back by Hasbro with no confirmed release date. Both the vehicle and figure lines were delayed for unknown reasons, but with the recent surfacing of a few POC figures and vehicles on eBay. And now this image on 4Chan, we are given a nice glimpse of hope that these guys might hit the shelves sooner than later, and with a refreshing new look. As for right now, this card art image is not “confirmed” by Hasbro, and should just be regarded as total speculation. It is pretty cool looking though isnt it?
